Professor Lynda Johnston stands down today after five years of service as Editor of Gender, Place and Culture. Luckily, we do get to keep her and she is now joining the Editorial Board for a further three years. Lynda has done lots of amazing work for the journal and we are sad to see her go. However, we are delighted to welcome a new Editor to the team; Kanchana Ruwanpura works at the University of Edinburgh and her research spans feminist and economic geography. She has recently published in the journal about gendered spaces in apparel factories in Karachi, Pakistan (read the article here) so we look forward to working with her.
A huge thank you to Lynda for all of her hard work and best of luck to Kanchana in the years to come.
